Fixed Asset Accountant - Hybrid (2 days onsite, 3 remote) - 4S Ranch, San Diego
A growing healthcare organization is seeking a Fixed Asset Accountant to support accounting operations within a large, multi-entity environment. This role will focus on fixed asset accounting, reconciliations, and month-end close activities while partnering with cross-functional teams across the organization.
Key Responsibilities
* Manage fixed asset accounting including capitalization, depreciation, and asset tracking
* Prepare journal entries and maintain accurate general ledger activity
* Perform account reconciliations and resolve discrepancies
* Support month-end and year-end close processes
* Maintain fixed asset schedules and supporting documentation
* Assist with audit requests and financial reporting requirements
* Partner with internal departments on asset-related accounting matters
* Analyze capital expenditures and maintain asset records
* Ensure compliance with accounting policies and internal controls
* Utilize ERP systems to maintain financial and fixed asset data
Required Qualifications
* Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field
* 2+ years of Staff Accountant or Accounting experience
* Some fixed asset accounting experience preferred
* Strong technical accounting knowledge
* Experience working in large or mid-sized organizations
* Strong communication and analytical skills
* Advanced Microsoft Excel skills
Preferred Qualifications
* Healthcare industry accounting experience
* Experience with construction or facility-related accounting
* Internal audit exposure
* Experience with Sage Intacct, PCC, or Workday
* MBA or CPA designation preferred
Work Environment
* Hybrid schedule - 2 days onsite, 3 days remote
* Located in the 4S Ranch area of San Diego
